0 Shooting a GOBBLER with a BOW!!!

Hey everyone, I know you all have been watching all the videos of my kids doing things, BUT sometimes I have to get involved in a little excitement too. Ragan and I were deer hunting and I decided to take my bow just in case a deer came real close, plus she wanted to see me shoot a deer with my bow. As you can see though this turned into a great opportunity for my first GOBBLER with a bow and man did it work out perfect… Hope you enjoy, because me and Ragan had a blast making it.

Ragan’s First Buck, 2011

by greg on November 21, 2011

0 Ragans First Buck, 2011
This is Ragan, she is my youngest daughter and is 12. You may have seen her first deer ever last year, when she shot a doe. This year was a bit more trying, she hunted hard through youth season, muzzle loader and 2 weeks of gun season to get this buck. We had seen a really nice buck that she had her sight set on in muzzle loader and it just got to dark on us. You can see though she was very pleased with her first buck, and I am so proud of her for sticking in there and hunting hard. Her hard work and patience paid off. I hope you guys enjoy this video…

0 Ethan Clevenger on his 1st Squirrel hunt, with Reed Slone 2011

I had the chance to take another kid on there first hunt. In this video, I had a chance to take my best friends little boy hunting for the first time. Ethan-10 was so excited to have the opportunity to go squirrel hunting with me and my little boy Reed-9. We were all visiting in Eastern Ky. and had a chance to go. Now, Ethan didn’t get a squirrel, but he got a shot at one and I think he was just as excited as if he would have gotten one. The joy and excitement on his face is the whole reason I love taking kids hunting, so if you have the chance to make the day of a little one or old one, take them to the woods and give them some life long education about the Great Outdoors… Hope you guys enjoy this as much as I did…

I got this on email today and thought it was to cute not to post. Sarah thank you very much for your flow chart, I will be using it because I can’t seem to get a deer. I look forward to more of your creative hunting strategies.

I had the opportunity today to take both of my daughters deer hunting. I have always taken one at a time, but today it worked out that we all could go. It was a blessing too. My oldest daughter, Raley, shot a doe early, so we decided to wait and see if my youngest daughter Ragan could get a buck. We saw a nice one but no shot… Congrats to Raley on a great harvest and a great time with my kids..0 Next Generation Hunting Presents Raley Slone 2010 Deer Hunting

Hey everyone, this is my youngest daughter Ragan and she has only been deer hunting for a year. We seen a few deer last year but never got a shot at one. She went this year in youth season and missed a doe… (She was so disappointed) So I promised her this year we would go until she got a deer. That was my promise to her. Wouldn’t you know it, on opening morning she got her shot at a nice doe… What you won’t see in the video though is that when she pulled the trigger on this doe….THE GUN DIDN’T FIRE, when I closed the chamber it didn’t fully close so it didn’t fire. We scrambled quickly and quietly to get it right and finally did, and the doe never moved… We you can’t see great on the video but it all worked out great for us… Congratulations to Ragan on a great first deer, and I am very proud of her… Hope you enjoy…

11 year old Dylan Parker’s 1st Deer…

by greg on November 5, 2010

Hey everyone, I got this story the other day from a friend on mine. His son shot his first deer and this is what he had to say about it…

Hi my name is Dylan Parker and I live in Bowling Green, Kentucky, I’m 11 years old and I’m here to tell you about the time I shot my first deer. I have been hunting with my dad since I was 4 years old. One day my dad and I were hunting and we saw 2 deer eating at the corn pile 80 yards in front of us, I picked up my gun and took it off safety. Then I pulled the trigger slowly. It was an exciting moment but there was one thing wrong I had missed , I had blown the hair off its back. He stood there for a second and they both walked off. A few seconds later the deer I didn’t shoot at came back, he went to the corn pile and started eating. But my gun got jammed. My dad fixed I took it off safety and I pulled the trigger and all I saw was smoke. The next thing I hear is a crash. He had fallen for good. We fallowed his blood trail and found him. He was a little butten buck thanks for reading.

Great job Dylan and I look forward to seeing and hearing more about your hunting trips…Dillian Parker 1st deer 300x242 11 year old Dylan Parkers 1st Deer...
